Vintage Baubles
A hand embroidery kit which captures the textures and fun shapes of vintage Christmas baubles. I remember the glass baubles of my grandmas tree, some were shiny, some fluffy and all were so sparkly. Picking them off the tree and spinning them in my hands in a memory I treasure. I would watch the twinkly Christmas lights reflect in the shiny sections of their intricate designs.
Working with different shapes within an embroidery design allows for experimentation with complimentary stitches. You will combine textured stitches with sparkly, metallic, DMC Diamant threads to create beautiful decorations. It is my hope that this beautiful kit will evoke lovely childhood memories of Christmases gone by for you too.

Hand Embroidery and it's benefits

Studies have shown that being creative helps to relieve stress, increases happiness, improves memory, and can also increase your concentration. My hope is that hand embroidery becomes the perfect activity for down time and a soulful pleasure for you.

- Ohhh (and tea and biscuits) … *this, of course, is just a suggestion but I find tea and biscuits are necessary when I work*
My work style is inspired by nature around me. Beautiful florals and green botanicals feature heavily as well as Inspirational quotes, chunky textures, and beautiful detail. These are some of the features that will be present throughout the monthly subscription designs.
