About Me
Hi, I'm Natalie
A Manchester based Hand Embroidery Business, run by me, Natalie Gaynor
Always being at my happiest and content when creating, my earliest memory of being creative is being taught how to knit by my Grandma. Following this I taught myself how to cross stitch, hand sew and eventually machine sew.
My professional creative background is in textiles; which I studied at degree level. I came away with so much insight into lots of creative pathways. During my studying the BA Hons in Textiles, I gained a wealth of knowledge in the textile field and was encouraged to explore a wide full range of textile mediums and specialised in Knit. After receiving my BA Hons, I have also nurtured the skills I learnt as a child, hand embroidery and cross stitch; both are well loved and timeless skill sets.
My love of hand embroidery inspired me to set up: Natalie Gaynor Designs in 2015 when my last baby started school. My hands were empty and stitching soothed my mind whilst I found myself again. 9 years on, Natalie Gaynor Designs has grown and evolved. My small business create ready to buy and bespoke stitched art, hand embroidery kits and I provide the opportunity to take part in hand embroidery workshops!
