Spring Delight
After a cold a bleak winter there is nothing more representative of new beginnings and starting afresh than spring flowers in bloom. Creating a carpet of colour everywhere we look, spring flowers are the perfect way to lift the spirits.
Daffodils are a firm favourite of mine. Their bright yellow heads never fail to make me smile. A reminder of two very strong women in my life, they bring joy and the memories of my Great Grandma reciting the famous poem by William Wordsworth:
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils,
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
An inspiration for this beautiful fresh design, celebrating the signs of spring with the perfect yellow daffodils along with pink Tulips and purple grape Hyacinths. Designed within a heart shape resembling my love of spring and added sparkle in DMC Diamant; a representation of the beautiful comparison of daffodils to the milky way in my all time favourite poem.

Hand Embroidery and it's benefits

My work style is inspired by nature around me. Beautiful florals and green botanicals feature heavily as well as Inspirational quotes, chunky textures, and beautiful detail.
